Requirements

  • Prior experience in brand/sponsorship marketing is mandatory
  • A working knowledge of the gaming/esports industry is a huge plus (knowledge of leading gaming genres, titles, social media platforms and trends)
  • Understanding and strong interest in creating effective marketing campaigns that resonate with the Gen Z audience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment across cross-functional teams including brand, legal, finance, digital, media, communications, compliance, product and philanthropy
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment, as teams are located in numerous regions
  • Experience in emerging technology, digital, social media, and mobile marketing a plus
  • High attention to process and details, with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and payment processing
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience post bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Manage Mastercard’s gaming/esports sponsorship marketing plans to support Mastercard’s business objectives with B2B/B2B2C customers (issuers and merchants) and B2C (consumers)
  • Oversee planning and execution of Mastercard’s gaming/esports activations at global events, which include integration of Mastercard products/services, co-branded B2B2C customer programs and innovative B2C activities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Mastercard’s grassroots B2C and B2B2C ‘Mastercard Gamer Academy’ program
  • Manage external agency’s social media team to ensure all content supports the objectives, meets brand guidelines and obtain any internal approvals
  • Work with the brand marketing team to brief, traffic and get approvals on all brand creative that will be used in all consumer facing global events and regional marketing campaigns
  • Manage budget, accruals and payment processing
  • Liaise with numerous regional sponsorship and consumer marketing teams around the globe to best leverage gaming and esports properties, through various programs
  • Support Vice President, Global Sponsorships on the company’s overall esports/gaming strategy, evaluating potential property acquisitions and working closely on planning
  • Work very closely with Mastercard’s sports marketing agency on the management of Brand Ambassadors, Influencers, esports team partnerships, and grass roots programs, both B2B2C and B2C
