Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Or equivalent supply chain management
- 3-5 years experience
- Leadership experience in the role of; Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, Profit Protection, Operations, Safety, Logistics
- ID Works / Access Control Systems
- Salesforce / ThinkLP
- Manhattan Associates Products ( WM / WMOS / JDA)
- Business Methodologies (Lean, Sigma, etc)
Responsibilities
- Maintain communication and partnership with DC & Corporate Teams to ensure compliance to directives
- Responsible for managing the hiring, training and developing of the loss prevention team including a supervisor, group lead and teammates
- Actively participate in field operations and safety team initiatives
- Conduct and coordinate DC training and meetings with LP and operational teams to develop partnership and awareness
- Validate the LP team capability in regard to work product team participation, and spearhead training of the loss prevention team as well as the competency of loss prevention, profit protection and safety awareness of the site
- Manage prompt & successful completion of multiple administrative tasks (audits, assessments, call lists, recaps, etc.)
- Manage the coordination of the overall loss prevention and safety programs within company guidelines
- Engage with the team and leadership to continually promote personal development
- Provide coaching & feedback to achieve goals and maximizing results
- Develop schedules and track attendance for the LP department and 3rd party teams
- Support the loss prevention & safety teammate’s, leads and supervisors with their tasks as needed
- Support the senior manager, supply chain loss prevention and safety with initiatives to improve site programs with standardization, recognition, expenses, shrink control for site and all stores supported throughout the country
- System expert in Warehouse Management Systems (WM / BOREAS)
- Integrate themself into new developing technology and become the matter expert
- Work closely with inventory management for inventory preparation and execution at the distribution center and ensures cycle inventory is completed accurately
- Manages specialized variance reduction meetings in regard to top variance locations
- Able to poll inventory reports and develop action plans to address areas of concern based on metrics of volumes, field results and logistics reporting
- Support field operations and safety managers with inventory variances from assigned DC
- Supports LP Team within their scope as needed, and ensures deadlines are met
- Conduct surveys of any perspective 3rd party facility to assess potential liabilities and losses
- Manage the supervision in person and remotely of off-site locations to mitigate losses
- Manages with guidance the payroll, expenses and travel of team to ensure compliance to policy while protecting the bottom line from abusive behaviors
- Manage all programs are executed in regard to the protection of inventory, profit and protection of all assets
- Manages Loss Prevention, Operations and vendors for overall safety compliance; responds to violations and corrects the situation with a long-term strategy that includes follow-ups and accountabilities
- Actively attends and participates in Safety Committee Meetings and constantly reviews adherence to policy and if industry updates are needed
- Trains Loss Prevention, Operations and 3rd party guards on emergency protocols
- Validates training / knowledge of all departmental teams for safety expectations
- Manages the complete execution of all safety programs, assessments and audits of the site assigned to include the interior, exterior, lots, yards, off-sites and most importantly all personnel and visitors
- Execution of LP team related tasks within Safety and other related fields
- Manages the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually self-site assessment to validate and update any changes in site security to include, building, yard, fencing, card access, parking lots, lighting, alarms etc.
- Manages and executes off-site and 3PL owned sites for adherence to DSG policy, procedures and expectations
- Perform monthly percentage verification of LP team audits for accuracy and completeness, use findings to develop teams
- Validates the execution of the reconciliation of Alarm Test results; schedules work orders as required
- Ability to troubleshoot CCTV systems, monitors cameras and card access system for functionality; schedules work orders as required
- Assesses CCTV needs and submits a business case to the Senior Manager of DC LP for review and possible execution
- Manages the response to any investigation of suspected associate dishonesty and reported trailer/cargo thefts and interview as needed
- Partner with 3rd party carriers to minimize and resolve inbound/outbound freight losses and report any deviations to the SrLPM as needed
- Partner with the Transportation Department to ensure the arrival of freight to stores and report any deviations to the SrLPM as needed
- Partner with various local and Federal law enforcement agencies to resolve theft issues involving inbound and outbound deliveries
- Manage and respond to Field Operations and Safety Manager’s (FOSM’s) concerns of missing freight to stores
- Communicate possible losses with remediations to the Regional Director or Operations and Safety and the SrLPM
- Responsible for security screening all people entering/exiting the facility per DSG requirements
- Test, troubleshoot and respond to all alarm systems (burglar, Fire & Amarok [perimeter electrified fence])
- Opening/Closing of DC facility per DSG guidelines without supervision
- Complete building walkthrough multiple times throughout daily shift
- Focusing on misdirected freight, safety, physical security, firearm security, & deterrence
- Knowledge of Genetec system, create access control badges & ensure all building credentials are accurate
- Complete daily observations of facility and document /address opportunities
- Conduct and / or support investigations in regard to concerns or violations of the physical security of assigned location and report findings
- Yard Management system expert, manages the orientation of new yard personnel to safety and security standards
- Partners with National Account Managers for 3PL security and Yard Drivers in regard to the performance of their direct reports
- Communicates with CSC Logistics for yard related items and responds to requests
- Manages the execution of the prompt and accurate completion of yard related tasks
- Manages the execution of the Electronic Guard Dog Fence and monitoring station. Ensure the working, testing and maintenance of perimeter security is performed monthly, and inspected daily
- Supervises the execution of LP Team related tasks within Yard Management
