Requirements

  • 6+ years of direct People Operations experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment that has a substantial hourly population.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing all HR-related initiatives at this location, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Develop people strategies to retain talent, coach employees and managers on HR policies, and ensure Prose’s mission and values are upheld daily.
  • Act as a cultural advocate both internally and externally.
  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure we hire the right talent.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (California) and local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, addressing and resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Collaborate with other HR partners to develop and implement talent management strategies, including training and development programs, to support employee growth and retention.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Site Director, providing guidance and support for organizational development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to workplace safety programs and protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure the office is always equipped with necessary resources and supplies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
