Requirements
- 6+ years of direct People Operations experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment that has a substantial hourly population.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all HR-related initiatives at this location, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Develop people strategies to retain talent, coach employees and managers on HR policies, and ensure Prose’s mission and values are upheld daily.
- Act as a cultural advocate both internally and externally.
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure we hire the right talent.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state (California) and local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, addressing and resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Collaborate with other HR partners to develop and implement talent management strategies, including training and development programs, to support employee growth and retention.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Site Director, providing guidance and support for organizational development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to workplace safety programs and protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and relevant regulations.
- Ensure the office is always equipped with necessary resources and supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
