Requirements

- Extensive experience with business, IT general, and IT application controls.
- Extensive experience working in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate internal controls functions.
Responsibilities
- Administer growing SOC Governance program for Northern Trust, including managing the team to ensure proactive and accountable end-to-end project management for each report and to ensure report milestones and issuance dates are met / exceeded.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal business, technology, and corporate stakeholders, and liaise regularly with external auditors.
- Lead timely evaluation of control matters, including exception investigation / resolution and control change initiatives, to ensure financial risk for clients is appropriately mitigated.
- Ensure governance program data, report content, processes and procedures are optimized, fit for purpose, and reflect accounting guidance requirements / industry best practice.
- Develop and embed proactive internal stakeholder communications to better set expectations around the SOC processes and develop proactive control forecasts.
- Develop messages and processes for Northern Trust clients, their auditors, and their NT Relationship Managers to address client SOC questions and needs.
