Requirements
- Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience working in software engineering
- 2+ years of experience managing a team
- Strong computer science fundamentals and technical skills
- Proficient in making data-driven decisions in complex technical problems
- Ability to lead and represent the team’s goals and projects with cross-functional business partners and leaders
Responsibilities
- Help define the technical vision for observability, insights & performance benchmarking for the Snapchat mobile apps
- Build cutting edge tooling to detect, group and root cause performance & reliability issues at scale
- Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders and be a strong technical mentor
- Work cross functionally with Data Scientists, product & engineering partners to gather feature asks & set up a long term roadmap for observability
- Influence key decisions and tradeoffs on architecture and implementation of client side features
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working in software engineering
- Experience working on iOS and/or Android apps with focus on performance
