Requirements
- 5+ years of strong technical experience across any manufacturing process
- Experience as a Dental Laboratory technician
- Proven track record of improving quality at a team and/or department level
- Comfortable running training programs for large groups of individuals as well as one on one
- Passion for developing, iterating on, and driving training materials to support individuals in improving their performance
- High level of comfort with digital tools and technology
- Very high attention to detail and organizational skills
- Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly
- Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work through ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive one’s own learning to meet the needs of the business
Responsibilities
- Drive Intellectual Capital: Continuously research and drive creation of best practices to develop training and onboarding materials that will enable rapid scale without compromising on quality
- Problem Solve: Quickly troubleshoot people, process, and technology issues to identify improvement opportunities in regards to training and onboarding processes.
- Quality Adherence: Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards and roll up your sleeves when challenges come your way. High quality is key to efficient scalability!
- Train & Teach: Continuously train and support a team of 20+ technicians to help them improve performance when executing daily operational tasks. Includes regularly running training programs with different groups of individuals and measuring improvements
- Collaborate: Work with teams on the ground to proactively identify and address high priority improvement opportunities and creative solutions
- Move quickly to ensure trainees are set up for success and able to produce within the predetermined training period.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure all technicians understand their graduation and ramped production goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previously built and/or led training program(s) in a dental lab
- Strong familiarity with operating milling machines, handpiece, high speed and 3D printers for dental products
- Recognized Graduate, CDT or higher certification
- Outstanding professional references to share
