Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience managing all aspects of a large commercial technical engineering and manufacturing facility and high-bay, focused on hardware, hardware-software, and hardware-software-communications integration
  • 10+ years of experience leading technically varied, multi-discipline manufacturing teams to successful delivery on complex engineering programs
  • 4+ years of experience developing and supporting business development activities to achieve successful, quality growth
  • Experience working in a matrixed-staff environment and driving cultural change in the areas of standardized process, safety, and quality
  • Experience standing up and overseeing Organizational Safety programs
  • Knowledge of DoD government contracts, acquisition, and proposal processes as it relates to technical delivery
  • Knowledge of materials management, logistics, and compliance requirements for technical delivery
  • Ability to build and leverage internal relationships and relationships with the federal government and industry
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hardware Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Manufacturing Management

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior technical leadership for Booz Allen’s Engineering Solutions team at a flagship hardware integration, assembly, and light manufacturing facility
  • Focus on the development, scaling, and advancement of integrated hardware or software prototypes, moving from prototype to production
  • Lead a group of hardware engineers and technicians dedicated to the development and implementation of scaled engineering and manufacturing solutions for Defense R&D and operational missions
  • Work closely with peer engineering flagship leaders and R&D lab leaders to ensure the most optimal use of resident capabilities to achieve successful solutions while balancing inter-facility utilization
  • Maintain responsibility for hiring and development of technical staff, equipment selection and acquisition, asset sharing, quality control and quality assurance, and enforcement of standardization and processes
  • Engage and work closely with market and technical team peers across the company, as well as external clients, to help drive new business growth, develop and maintain appropriate capacity, ensure safety, ensure quality, and contribute to business development activities
  • Maintain risk and process-oversight responsibility for a group of engineering capability labs in the U.S. to ensure consistent quality, safety, staffing, re-use, material and inventory control, cost management, interoperability, and performance
  • Support work prioritization and loading, project resource needs, provide and advocate for capability development foresight, and engage in business capture efforts
  • Provide novel technical solutions, oversee all phases of delivery and execution within the facility, and maintain responsibility for hiring, risk management, and successful technical performance
  • Develop, socialize, and execute business growth strategies to ensure growth of the facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management roles
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing business strategies to achieve successful, quality growth
  • Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering Management
