Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or technically related field experience considered.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Experience with following special processes: Cadmium plating, Cadmium-Titanium plating, Chromium plating, Nickel plating, Zinc-Nickel, Passivation, Anodize and Chem Film application.
- Hands-on application of organic coatings.
- Proficiency in Truechem software applications
- Proficiency in computer aided design applications.
- Knowledge of process verification and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to interpret chemical processing specifications and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and maintain plating manufacturing process routings and process sheets.
- Under general direction creates the design and implementation of plating racks, masking, fixtures, and tools to support processes.
- Develop and implement manufacturing engineering procedures.
- Implement and maintain work labor standards records, including engineering and estimation of run times for plating manufacturing processes.
- Implementing continuous improvement of processes to provide most economical means of production.
- Interpret customer specification changes and implement changes.
- Provides technical support for plant layout, purchase of equipment, upgrade of equipment, and feasibility studies.
- Comply with all the applicable Environmental and Safety regulations.
- Comply with all internal, customer and Nadcap accreditation requirement.
- Assist in support Nadcap accreditation audits.
- Ability to understand and perform all chemical testing laboratory procedures.
- Performs other assignments as directed by supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACAS, Aerospace Coatings Application Specialist Certification preferred.
- CEF, Certified Electro Plating Finisher and CAF, Certified Aerospace Finisher certification from the AESF preferred.
- Aerospace special processing background preferred.
