Requirements
- Associates’ Degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years’ experience)
- Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management
- Basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality
Responsibilities
- Create and manage production schedules for machine and assembly shop operations, ensuring timely product delivery
- Works with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts
- Works with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
- Analyzes incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
- Plans and schedules order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
- Works with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins)
- Works with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured
- Works to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process
- Assists in executing continuous improvement projects to maximize value.
- Work closely with shop teams to allocate resources and materials efficiently
- Monitor production processes, making adjustments to stay on track and reduce downtime
- Perform cost analysis, identifying areas to cut costs and improve efficiency
- Maintain inventory records, balancing material availability and stock levels
- Collaborate with quality control to meet industry standards and customer requirements
- Keep internal teams and management updated on production status, delays, or issues
- Provide regular reports on production schedules, costs, and inventory
