Requirements
- AA in Electronics Technology or technical diploma and 5+ year of relevant work experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree/diploma
- Familiar with Digital and analog circuit troubleshooting and repair
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of both analog and digital circuitry, including a knowledge of switch mode power supplies, DAC, ADC and operational amplifiers
- Good to have Knowledge of networking, IP addressing, TCPIP and network cabling
- Must have good computer skills including the use of Microsoft office products including Word and Excel
- Must demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a team or independently, with high degree of self-reliance
- Strong manual dexterity
Responsibilities
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing and interface with production
- Perform routine inspection testing and fault isolation on production electrical assemblies and diagnose and perform remedial action on production related electrical issues
- Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level
- Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned
- Utilize development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus
- Write work instructions for incoming quality control testing of PCB assemblies
- Ability to solder small surface mount components on PCB assemblies
- Partner with mechanical, or electrical engineers to fine tune the repair and diagnostic process in the work environment
- Diagnose and repair problems with malfunctioning circuit boards, down to component level. Establish root cause and work with vendors or engineering to resolve issues
- Inspect cable harnesses to IPC class II and work with venders to resolve nonconformance issues
- Communicate with team members, engineers or management to discuss possible problems or update individuals with work progress
