Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university required in journalism, communications, marketing or related field of study
  • At least two+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office / Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support the planning and execution of internal and external customer events, including conferences, webinars and users group meetings
  • Develop and execute marketing communications strategies and supporting project plans
  • Research, write copy and edit both print and electronic communications for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate work of outside vendors and consultants retained to execute projects
  • Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share
  • Manage projects within budget
  • Assist in the execution of promotional activities, including print, electronic media, benefit fairs, trade show, direct mail and signage
  • Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers
  • Manage the development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs
  • Help analyze marketing programs and adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness
  • Review and approve the use of internal and external mailing lists
  • Review and provide analysis of marketing surveys
  • Provide post-event reports, analysis and regular status reports on marketing programs
  • Help plan, promote and execute sales meetings and other events
  • Help establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials and events
  • Provide full backup support of other business segments as needed and/or assigned.
