Material Planner

A bachelor’s degree (business or logistics-related degree is preferred)
2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and forecasting skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
Experience with MRP and SAP software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Creates and deploys supply requirements via SAP to achieve production, inventory, and cost objectives.
Ensures demand is supported appropriately, including production consumables such as PPE, gloves, and plastic bags.
Manages safety stock levels and optimizes logistical efficiency by managing EOQs.
Handles material planning, demand forecasting, and stock policy.
Gathers market trends and qualitative inputs to anticipate shortages.
Runs statistical forecasts and manual inputs from customer requirements, and challenges and integrates supplier forecasts.
Defines stock strategy according to criticality and stock level.
Builds and maintains operational partnerships with assigned suppliers.
Acts as the primary interface with suppliers on delivery status, issues, and resolution.
Coordinates supplier ramp-up and ramp-down for new product launches.
Manages engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory and ensure continuous supply.
Partners with IT and other business stakeholders on planning process and system improvements.
Works in a stabilized environment, coordinates and achieves consensus between different roles and functions.
Manages supplier orders and market inputs, maintains and reviews reports and KPIs, and addresses data issues, managing setup and cleansing.
