Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some post-secondary education preferred (technical or vocational education) in Business Mgt, or Mfg
  • Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and effectively with all members, as well as with customers and Management
  • A strong mathematical ability is essential
  • Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions and independent judgment calls based on the situation at hand
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer and related software
  • Ability to work required overtime

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers in a professional and timely manner at all times, including verbal and electronic communications
  • Perform production planning on a daily basis and monthly scheduling to maximize equipment efficiencies
  • Enter sales orders and subsequent changes to guarantee the delivery of customer requirements
  • Purchase raw materials and shipping materials needed by the production departments to manufacture efficiently
  • Communicate directly with customers to satisfy product and delivery needs, information or planning requirements and material specifications
  • Communicate scheduling needs to production, maintenance and other internal personnel
  • Assist with inventory control, cycle-counting, production and logistics scheduling following established protocol
  • Report production information at the end of the shift
  • Coordinate the implementation of any approved material or method changes and communicate these changes to production personnel
  • Keep current on technical developments and changes to appraise or make recommendations to management and supervisors and to instruct and train employees
  • Perform other duties as requested by the site leadership
  • Lead by example, including filling in where needed on the production floor, helping cover vacant shifts, and setting the example of good teamwork and work ethic, including good attendance
  • Perform other administrative duties as requested in support of production, quality, materials, etc.
