Materials Planner

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of material planning or buying experience

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for materials planning and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)
• Improve standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP
• Optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery
• Identify appropriate demand streams and establishes data relationship linkages
• Collaborate with product development leaders, sales and marketing teams to develop demand forecasts
• Accountable for planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations
• Work with manufacturing team and develop monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters
• Identify and develop new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability
• Track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement
• Responsible for the implementation of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities
• Establish clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP
