Requirements
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of prior production/manufacturing materials experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 3+ years’ experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Responsibilities
- Attend necessary daily tier meetings & pitch walks. Scheduling and Scheduling Stability. Material release to production area. Track production needed by intercompany.
- Execute process and oversee activities through multiple cells. Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance.
- Give constant feedback on performance to those standards.
- Implement lean manufacturing measures to ensure value streams and shop operations are always stabilized and/or to be able to identify areas of opportunity quickly.
- Preparation of commits based on machining OEE and value stream constraints.
- Communicate effectively with internal organizations to ensure the business is meeting customer demand and/or commits.
- Help establish system architecture designs that consider customer requirements, resource availability, capacity, level loading, constraint management and other priorities.
- Work close with warehouse personnel to ensure cell has everything needed to be successful.
- Inventory management (accuracy, Aged WIP, holds, pending QN’s). Participate in making allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware.
- Help create and manage reporting systems. Utilize/operate Andon system in support of assembly floor requirements.
- Help manage engineering changes on the shop floor. Support efforts to drive cost & lead time reductions. Assist Planners when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in the Materials discipline.
- Experience utilizing SAP operating system.
- Computer skills- Proficient Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles, Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE).
