Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days
- Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties
- Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA)
- Completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet
Responsibilities
- Manages the coordination and flow of patients throughout the patients visit to create an exceptional patient experience
- Proactively check the provider’s schedule and review information within the patient record to ensure that all required information is available prior to their visit
- Proactively obtains any missing information from the patient to ensure that medical records are accurate and up to date
- Upon arrival, captures patient’s vital signs, past medical, social and family history, medication usage and preferred pharmacy information
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements including HIPAA/OSHA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, AAMP
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current Licensure without restrictions
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days
