Requirements
- Medical Assistant certificate along with a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a back office Medical Assistant is required.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and attending to the needs of all patients and creating a positive patient experience by managing expectations while demonstrating compassion and respect.
- Assisting in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical/clerical support services in the clinical setting.
- Building relationships with patients, listening to them, and gaining their trust.
- Acting as an Electronic Health Record (EHR) super-user and performing more administrative responsibilities that include providing feedback on Back Office processes to the Clinic Management.
- Providing support and guidance to the MA team as a mentor and trainer.
- Performing other duties related to ensuring all diagnostic test results are appropriately managed for Registry patients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certified preferred.
- Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification, preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location strongly preferred.
