Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school
- Certified or registered Medical Assistant
- Must obtain Basic Life Support- Health Care Worker (BLS-HCW) certification prior to start date
- Previous front-line customer service experience
- Successful completion of a background check and health screen.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care
- Obtain patient reason for visit
- Take vital signs
- Assist providers with procedures
- Prepare exam rooms
- Administer injections
- Carry out clinical orders
- Document all information in the electronic health record.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of work experience in an outpatient medical facility
- Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 6 months of electronic health information system training or experience
- Keyboarding training or experience.
