Requirements

  • Advanced degree in biomedical sciences (MD, PhD)
  • 4+ years of experience at a medical communications agency
  • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas
  • Experience managing multiple teams and client accounts
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, internet search, and PubMed

Responsibilities

  • Champion brands by maximizing scientific data to meet strategic imperatives, positioning, and long-term vision.
  • Develop and oversee projects requiring a high degree of scientific and technical expertise.
  • Ensure client satisfaction, scientific rigor, accuracy, and strategic excellence in all projects.
  • Interpret and distill complex medical information from journal articles and clinical study reports.
  • Write, edit, and rewrite medical content, ensuring scientific accuracy and marketing relevance.
  • Collaborate with account services and editorial teams to develop impactful materials.
  • Coach, manage, and mentor junior science staff.
  • Manage and adhere to internal processes, providing guidance and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Participate in new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with clients, fulfill requests, and participate in client meetings and teleconferences.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the therapeutic market and share relevant insights.
  • Participate in the development of creative and innovative programs grounded in science.
  • Ensure high-quality agency output, rejecting materials that don’t meet standards.
  • Manage and direct freelance writers as needed.
