Requirements
- Advanced degree in biomedical sciences (MD, PhD)
- 4+ years of experience at a medical communications agency
- Experience in multiple therapeutic areas
- Experience managing multiple teams and client accounts
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, internet search, and PubMed
Responsibilities
- Champion brands by maximizing scientific data to meet strategic imperatives, positioning, and long-term vision.
- Develop and oversee projects requiring a high degree of scientific and technical expertise.
- Ensure client satisfaction, scientific rigor, accuracy, and strategic excellence in all projects.
- Interpret and distill complex medical information from journal articles and clinical study reports.
- Write, edit, and rewrite medical content, ensuring scientific accuracy and marketing relevance.
- Collaborate with account services and editorial teams to develop impactful materials.
- Coach, manage, and mentor junior science staff.
- Manage and adhere to internal processes, providing guidance and recommendations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Participate in new business opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, fulfill requests, and participate in client meetings and teleconferences.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the therapeutic market and share relevant insights.
- Participate in the development of creative and innovative programs grounded in science.
- Ensure high-quality agency output, rejecting materials that don’t meet standards.
- Manage and direct freelance writers as needed.
