Requirements
- Flexibility working with multiple populations or in different programs
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with patients
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
- Ability to maintain patient privacy at all times
- Ability to tolerate patients being uncomfortable or distressed in your presence
- Interest and/or knowledge of exposure and response prevention therapy
- Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
- Experience successfully working with adults with significant mental health needs
- Have two years’ experience working with people
Responsibilities
- Communicate patient progress with team
- Aid in daily Exposure and Response prevention therapy including but not limited to gathering materials, facilitating exposures that involve more than one person, supporting patients during and after exposures, helping them increase the intensity or variability of exposures
- Support other therapists such as co-leading content, communicating needs outside the group room, writing on the board, etc.
- Demonstrate or perform interoceptive with patients
- Support in program day to day logistics including but not limited to attendance, scheduling, printing materials, prepping rooms, administering/entering patient data measures
- Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members
- Guiding group in a scripted meditation
- Chart progress of patients
- Check and respond to daily emails and EMR messages
- Maintain organizational systems
- Communicate patient requests with doctors/nurses/therapists
- Maintain patient privacy at all times
- Participate in professional development activities
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
- Experience successfully working with adults with significant mental health needs
- Have two years’ experience working with people
