Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.
- Knowledge gained via completion of a university-level course, internship or related occupation involving: Automatic Control System Design; Routine maintenance and mechanical repair of plant equipment; Electromechanical aptitude (experience reading schematics and repairing robots); Installing and commissioning of manufacturing equipment; Basic industrial Safety assessments (Risk Assessment Analysis, Lockout Tag out, Fall protection, PPE); Programming: i.e. Python, C++, Matlab; Mechanical troubleshooting; Root Cause Analysis; Cost analysis and improvement; Solidworks; and Autodesk CAD.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational and maintenance procedures for electronic equipment and systems.
- Monitor, control, and qualify state of the art 200mm semiconductor equipment in Metrology/AMHS (Automated Material Handling system).
- Analyze, find root cause, and design prevention of errors of factory systems and/or equipment.
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost.
- Install and commission manufacturing equipment and drive high uptime of that equipment by optimizing the parts and procedures used.
- Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting.
- Determine safe procedures, perform, and teach others how to perform preventive maintenance activities by training junior engineers and maintenance technicians.
