Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program (verification not required for those possessing ARDMS)
- ARDMS (OB)
- NTQR certificate of program completion
- FMF NT certificate of program completion
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Proficient in performing sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic Obstetric and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) sonography procedures to assess fetus organs, female reproductive organs, and hemodynamics
- Responsible for commonly performed fetal Obstetric procedures with consistent proficiency
- Assist in invasive procedures, such as Chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
