Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Design or related area of study)
  • Excellent mechanical/technical abilities
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation, and follow-up of the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities of the Engineering department in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Manage Cosma Program Management Process (CPMP) by evaluating program budgets and feasibility; monitor timelines for all programs and ensure Quality System standards are maintained at each gate
  • Lead Program Managers to develop cross-functional teams to coordinate launch activities and manage ongoing engineering changes for existing customer programs
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and Industrial Engineers in support of both new and existing customer programs and plant layouts
  • Provide support to Eagle Bend’s Skilled Trades (Maintenance team and Tool & Die team) as they provide service to all manufacturing processes
  • Supervise Continuous Improvement personnel and ensure the program meets Eagle Bend business objectives for cost-reduction and customer givebacks
  • Interface with Vehma Engineering and design personnel during product development and program launch activities
  • Apply World-Class Manufacturing techniques and Continuous Improvement to Engineering functions including Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s)
  • Support Business Development team with quoting activities in line with the Business Plan to secure Eagle Bend’s future
  • Interface with customers’ purchasing, quality, and engineering personnel
  • Maintain good working relationships with Cosma sales representatives and customers’ buyers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience in automotive product design and manufacturing preferred
  • Automotive component purchasing or sales abilities preferred but not required
