Requirements

  • Education: B.S in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree
  • 8+ years of experience in design & modeling experience in CREO/ProEngineer
  • 8+ years of documentation experience, including knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and associated standards
  • Prior leadership roles (frontline or project leader)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Driving modeling & design process improvements such as: large assembly management techniques, modeling productivity and mechanical component selection effectiveness
  • Being a leader in documentation standards per ASME Y14.000 and the Raytheon Engineering Documentation Standards (EDS)
  • Ensuring correct update and distribution of engineering documentation following engineering change notices
  • Being up to date on documentation types per ASME Y14.24 in order to resolve and mediate conflicts per program documentation standards (PDS) for the department and key programs
  • Serving as the day-to-day liaison between section members and the programs they support across all program phases
  • Creatively applying mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems and make sound and rationale data oriented technical conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree
  • Six Sigma Specialist certified and/or familiarity with CORE principles
  • Experience in electronics, radar, antenna, militarized or precision systems
  • Knowledge in Solidworks, AutoCAD, CADDS4/5 & GTX Raster
  • Knowledge of Common PDM and release process
  • Ability to build a collaborative network quickly that focuses on empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, and fostering collaboration
  • Familiarity with Performance Development Processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Experience with technical and cost proposal development, technical risk management, and managing to cost and schedule requirements for assigned tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple activities at any given time
  • Strong presentation and technical writing skills combined with knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
