Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Holter Scanning Technician
Responsibilities
- Maintains surveillance of telemetry unit and alarm documentation
- Interprets and documents cardiac rhythms and notifies appropriate personnel of information and emergencies
- Troubleshoots problems with equipment and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient monitoring of patients
- Prepares daily and cumulative ECG reports and documents patient care information
- Verifies inventory levels; orders, receives, and stores supplies and equipment; and maintains inventory and equipment logs
- Answers multi-line telephones answering the caller’s questions or directing the caller to the appropriate party
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year EKG Technician Preferred
- 1 year ECG interpretation Preferred
