Requirements

Responsibilities
- Build highly available, scalable user facing applications and RESTful Public APIs
- Develop systems using Java, Scala
- Operate within eBay’s internal open source community and work on a variety of projects and codebases
- Build, test, and deploy code in a continuous manner
- Execute as part of a multi-functional Agile team that rapidly delivers iterative value to customers
- Contribute to technical conversations and debates and decide upon approaches and tools to resolve issues
- Evangelize, mentor, and promote engineering standard methodologies throughout the company
- Identify project risks, quantify risk/benefit relationships and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation
- Maintain proficiency in Test Driven Development, clean code, and software craftsmanship
- Learn new external and internal technologies as the need/opportunity arises
