Requirements
- Trading desk experience (markets or credit)
- Knowledge of trading platforms such as Bloomberg
- Knowledge and experience focused on fixed income and/or municipal market trading and analysis
- Knowledge of municipal credit fundamental factors and broad municipal market concepts and economics
- Credit research and analysis skills including financial metric and financial statement quantitative analysis
- Writing and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of investment experience (prefer municipal trading, public finance investment banking, credit analytics, and/or municipal strategy)
- Quantitative skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Client interaction skills
Responsibilities
- Research, review, and analyze investment grade public finance issuers and the broad municipal bond market
- Monitor and analyze fixed income markets and the economy
- Provide proactive and timely market strategies to Huntington colleagues and their clients
- Recommend and implement investment strategies for municipal bond portfolios based on market conditions
- Represent municipal securities as an investment solution in client meetings and on client conference calls
