Requirements
- 2-year technical degree in a Non-Destructive Testing program OR Certification in Ultrasonic Inspection
- In absence of a technical degree, must have 4 years of work experience in Non-Destructive inspection
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Responsibilities
- Conduct Ultrasonic inspection functions in a manufacturing environment
- Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required
- Work with Material Control Lab and manufacturing personnel to investigate problems encountered through inspection and determine their effect upon the part
- Complete classroom theory, OFT and certification examination in addition to recertification requirements as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
- Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
- Responsible for signing-off product inspected
- Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
- Must be able to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Ultrasonic Immersion Inspection experience
- Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment and proficiency with quality procedures
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of KB and IRT Ultrasonic systems
