Requirements

  • Minimum required formal education in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) for a Certified Level 2 per NAS410 in Radiographic Inspection
  • 1+ year of experience in NDT Quality Testing
  • 3+ year of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
  • Develops procedures and processes.
  • Performs tests or inspections and collects data.
  • Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations.
  • Provides feedback on adverse trends.
  • Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
  • Conducts certification preparation training.
  • Guides the development or improvement of non-destructive inspection or test techniques.
  • Develops, deploys and implements tests or inspections and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology.
  • Develops program specific non-destructive testing documents.
  • Develops and implements processes and procedures for new or revised non-destructive testing methods.
  • Audits, validates and approves systems and techniques of suppliers and processors.
  • Develops certification training and examinations.
  • Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques.
  • Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques.
  • Develops innovative test processes and equipment.
  • Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment.
  • Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data.
  • Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies.
  • Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 5: 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 3 NDT Certification in Radiographic (RT)
  • 5 or more years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units.
  • 5 or more years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques.
  • 5 or more years of experience interpreting technical engineering requirements
  • Experience leading teams
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Experience coaching NDT technicians
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
