Requirements
- 5+ years in support and integration of networks that include building management systems, lighting controls, nurse call and other facility related systems. 8+years of hands on support is not degreed.
- Experience managing industrial control networks and OT infrastructure
- Experience with third-party vendors and system integrators
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, including BMS, PLC, and SCADA systems, with understanding of their architectures, functionalities, and integration challenges
- Proficient understanding of OT network protocols and standards used in industrial and building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and industrial Ethernet, including their implementation, security implications, and interoperability in diverse control environments
- Experience with firewall configuration, Windows-based applications, TCP/IP connectivity
- Familiarity with edge devices, cloud connectivity, and data analytics
- Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) and virtual infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
- Manage OT equipment lifecycle from deployment through decommissioning
- Configure and troubleshoot network components including switches, firewalls, and virtual environments
- Administer hypervisor environments for resource allocation and performance
- Implement OT standards for network reliability and security
- Design infrastructure solutions that accommodate operational requirements
- Oversee security measures for OT networks
- Manage firmware and software updates across OT systems
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments and patch implementation
- Respond to OT-related incidents and vulnerabilities
- Align with organizational security policies and risk frameworks
- Track OT network assets in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Document asset details according to regulatory and audit requirements
- Maintain network configurations, system architectures, and recovery procedures
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs)
- Develop change control processes and documentation standards
- Liaise between operations, engineering, and IT departments
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications
- Maintain working relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Assess system enhancement priorities based on business needs
- Coordinate cross-functional activities for effective issue resolution
- Oversee OT-related projects
- Manage allocated budgets, resources, and timelines
- Coordinate vendor activities and contracts
- Develop technical requirements for system changes
- Align project outcomes with business objectives
- Provide technical expertise for OT network issues
- Coordinate training for end-users and support staff
- Provide on-call support as required
- Maintain communication with stakeholders on OT activities
- Handle and escalate OT system issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Working knowledge of programming concepts and scripting is required; familiarity with programming Python, PowerShell, API integration, or other automation tools
