To be eligible for shift differentials you must work 4 hours into the shift time to get the differentials (Monday – Thursday 3p – 11p = $4.50 per hour and 11p-7a = $4.75, Friday – Sunday 11p – 7a = $7.00 per hour, or Saturday – Sunday 7a – 3p = $6.00 per hour and 3p – 11p = $6.50 per hour)

Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse at MUSC, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will provide patient-centered care and work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients of all ages, ensuring their physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs are met. - Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead and support a team of caregivers, collaborating with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care. - Patient and Family Education:
Educate patients and families on health management, self-care, and health promotion to foster better health outcomes. - Clinical Excellence:
Participate in shared governance, peer review, and professional development to promote a culture of clinical excellence and leadership. - Care Coordination:
Utilize care management principles to coordinate efficient and effective patient care services, focusing on improving patient outcomes. - Professional Growth:
Contribute to the development of a healthy work environment and take responsibility for ongoing professional growth and leadership.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing (or compact state).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Stroke, and Crisis Prevention) may be required for specific positions.
