Requirements
- B.A. Business, Economics, Marketing or related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, market research, business development, or business consulting
- Strong market analysis skills, including competitive analysis and go-to-market strategy
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and business feasibility assessments
- Strong presentation and storytelling ability, able to turn complex data into insights
- Exposure to international markets (travel, study abroad, work with global teams, or international projects)
- Experience engaging and negotiating partnerships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation creation
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a consulting firm in a client facing position, corporate strategy team, business development, or investment/financial analysis role
- Retail, franchising, or consumer goods industry experience
- Experience working with legal and regulatory frameworks for market entry
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive market research to identify trends, growth opportunities, and geographic, demographic, and economic factors influencing potential markets.
- Analyze competitive landscapes, customer behaviors, and industry trends to evaluate the feasibility and attractiveness of new market opportunities.
- Partners with teams across operations, store development, merchandising, and other departments to gather relevant insights and align market entry strategies.
- Track competitors’ activities and analyze their strategies to inform positioning and differentiation.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings and market entry recommendations for leadership.
- Support cohesive decision-making by providing clear, data-driven insights.
- Conduct risk analysis to evaluate potential internal and external variables impacting market entry.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including securing legal counsel, adapting business models to local market conditions, and establishing operational processes.
- Assist in creating financial models and forecasts to estimate revenue potential, market entry costs, and overall financial viability.
- Provide insights on the economic implications of market expansion initiatives.
- Coordinate data collection and analysis for market entry projects to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Collaborate with senior team members to refine research tools and improve team efficiency.
