Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with 4 years experience in manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years experience in manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the introduction of new products into the Athens Manufacturing Facility from development through production release
- Assure the manufacturability of new product designs meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Develop resource requirements, capital expense needs, project timelines, etc. related to manufacturing for new product programs
- Organize trial builds of new units in the lab and on the production lines
- Lead activities with cross-functional team in: – audit of new unit build – documentation and follow up of design improvement ideas – development of material delivery and presentation – new tools, fixtures, and equipment needed – production layout changes – develop operator instruction
- Hands-on involvement in unit builds in: – the use of tools – operator training – material organization – potential rework of components
Preferred Qualifications
