Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee
- Must be able to obtain license/certification within 3 months, in accordance with state guidelines

Responsibilities
- Lead in the development of the APP fellowship curriculum, competencies, structure, and the day-to-day operations of the fellowship within the NICU
- Obtain and document health history for neonatal patients
- Perform and document complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examination, assessment and plan of care
- Provide neonatal healthcare services for critically ill and complex patients
- Manage patient’s overall care, identifying expected outcomes for diagnoses
- Order, perform, interpret and collect data using appropriate assessment techniques, relevant supporting diagnostic information and diagnostic procedures where indicated
- Form differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions in the neonatal population
- Prescribe therapeutic interventions both pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic and surgical, needed to achieve expected outcomes
- Perform delivery room service and neonatal transport services, initiate appropriate referrals and consultations, and provide consultation services as requested within scope of practice
- Facilitate the patient’s transition between and within health care settings, such as admitting, transferring, and discharging patients
