Requirements

  • Strong foundation in manufacturing process development and new product transition (NPT).
  • Practical experience with assembly, tooling, and/or test of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering change processes and product lifecycle management tools.
  • Solid understanding of DFx (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze test data and operational performance.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain methods and process flows to build complex assemblies efficiently and with high quality.
  • Partner with the NPT PM to execute pilot and volume builds, incorporating feedback from manufacturing, quality, and test teams to close gaps and improve readiness.
  • Apply DFx principles to reduce costs, simplify assembly, and improve quality and serviceability.
  • Interface with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Quality to align on manufacturing requirements and execute on readiness plans.
  • Launch and implement engineering changes that support product maturation and improve manufacturability.
  • Gather operational data, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Assist in defining test specifications and procedures.
  • Support development and maintenance of work instructions, build documentation, and process standards.
  • Support risk analysis during design reviews to identify failure points before they impact production.
  • Engage directly with technicians and assemblers on the floor to resolve issues in real time during builds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pilot or volume builds in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Hands-on experience working on the manufacturing floor with technicians or assemblers.
  • Exposure to semiconductor capital equipment or complex system integration is a plus.
