Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Must have a current license in the state of South Carolina as a registered nurse
- Two-Three years of related nursing experience is required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
Responsibilities
- Appropriately and on a timely basis assigns beds based on the diagnosis and needs of the particular patient
- Makes regular rounds proactively identifying problems and utilizes an organized approach to hospital-wide issues
- Is able to communicate between departments, resolve conflicts and report
- Evaluates and adjusts staff as appropriate
- Processes burial transits and notifies appropriate funeral facilities
- Responds to emergency codes, patient concerns and serves as the resource person for staff and physician after hours
- Prepares written documentation as required by the profession of the department and the medical center
- Performs other miscellaneous and related duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of hospital supervisor experience preferred
