Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Emphasis in emergency management, international relations, political science, or similar disciplines will be given higher consideration. Relevant military, FBI or DoE Energy/NNSA experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Top-Secret Level Clearance.
- Military, civilian, or contractor leadership experience in exercise planning required; experience preferred in developing, planning, participating, and executing Department of Defense, multi-agency/multi-national training events or exercises.
- Knowledge in performing training capability or training needs assessments desired.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to foreign and domestic locations. Travel is 25% or greater and includes travel to national and international locations.
- Must have or be able to obtain US Passport.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools required. Emphasis placed on PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact with employees from other departments or groups.
- Ability to build teams consisting of personnel from diverse US and non-US organizations (military and civilian) and personnel with little to no exercise planning and execution experience.
- Must perform activities with a very high degree for attention to detail.
- Must be capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be capable of transporting and lifting 40-pound boxes of documents and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Increase Agency awareness and improve its readiness to perform the mission of enabling DoD, the U.S. Government, and International Partners fight and win on the modern battlefield.
- Support events and compile analytical products designed to expose the broader audience to research/findings on current nuclear trends and challenges.
- Enable human capital improvement and exposes the workforce to nuclear-focused topics.
- Topics will be coordinated with and approved by the COR and within the framework of the Strategic Forum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience briefing senior DoD officers and civilians
