OB/GYN Surgical Scheduler

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a back office Medical Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of women’s health or OBGYN experience required.
• Knowledge of basic OB/GYN ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating patient surgeries and outpatient procedures.
• Acting as a liaison between assigned AltaMed OB/GYNs and clinics, patients, Medical Management, and surgical facilities.
• Monitoring the OB/GYN surgical process for patient satisfaction and cost effectiveness.
• Supporting Women’s Health leadership by recommending process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or courses toward Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• Previous surgical scheduling experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location strongly preferred.
