Requirements
- Prior exposure to a scientific lab environment – either directly or in an administrative/operational capacity – is essential
- Prior experience in office, facilities, or lab operations – ideally in a startup, R&D, or technical environment
- Familiarity with scientific lab settings
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable owning tasks from start to finish
Responsibilities
- Manage lab and office inventory, supply ordering, and vendor coordination
- Maintain lab safety records and assist with OSHA compliance
- Oversee sample shipments and schedule cleaning/laundry services
- Coordinate facility-related needs, repairs, and services
- Organize travel and logistics for staff and visitors
- Process credit card reconciliations and manage purchases via our spend management platform
- Help with internal communications and maintain required workplace postings
- Support HR/payroll-related tasks and serve as a point of contact for employee questions
- Assist with internal comms and serve as a go-to person for day-to-day office needs
- Help implement lab safety programs (e.g., SOPs, safety drills)
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal lab safety standards
- Coordinate with external safety consultants or auditors as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial admin or light bookkeeping experience is a plus
