Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, or a related field (e.g., Education, Social Work)
- Experience teaching web-based offerings at the undergraduate level
- Superior writing skills, including experience developing undergraduate curricula for web-based delivery
- Excellent interpersonal and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with students and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Web-based instruction and curriculum development for HDFS online offerings
- Teaching 3-4 courses/sections per semester and two courses/sections in the summer
- Regular service to the department, including serving on committees
- Contributing to strategic efforts to enhance and maintain strong HDFS undergraduate programming
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with both traditional and non-traditional learners from diverse backgrounds
- Experience collaborating with instructional design specialists
- Deep knowledge of pedagogy, best practices, and design standards as they relate to online learning
