Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field with a demonstrated understanding of complex systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and mitigate safety concerns related to test or manufacturing operations
- Detail-oriented problem solver who can make informed decisions under pressure with incomplete information
- Demonstrated experience leading meetings and presenting technical information to engineers, technicians and leadership
- Ability to work shifted schedules as needed to support critical test campaigns
Responsibilities
- Write test plans, procedures, and work instructions for test campaigns ranging from primary structure qualification to fluid component acceptance tests
- Collaborate with design engineers to address safety, operability, and maintainability concerns early in development
- Lead Test Readiness Reviews ensuring all necessary preparations are complete before execution and set the culture of the control room
- Develop automation and emergent test plans
- Operate test stands under manual and automated control, responding to unexpected conditions using engineering first principles
- Support post-test analysis, retrospectives, and continuous improvement efforts to refine operations and enhance test reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace or rocket testing is helpful but not required
- Experience measuring project timelines in days to weeks rather than months to years
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems, high-pressure fluid operations, static structural testing, and/or mechanisms testing
- 5+ years of experience in operations, testing, or manufacturing, preferably in high-stakes environments
