Operator in Training

High School Diploma/GED is required.
Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs for process control and data entry.
Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.
Must be able to work overtime should occasions arise.

Ensure pumps, conveyors, blowers, bar screens, rotary drum thickeners and other wastewater related equipment operate as designed.
Must consistently demonstrate the ability to learn and independently operate equipment to assure proper wastewater treatment procedures are achieved.
Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
Collect samples, reads, gauges, enters data as required.
Performs tasks associated with the upkeep and maintenance of the plant grounds to include painting, grass cutting, debris, and snow removal.
Safely operate company owned vehicles, including snowplows and lawn equipment.
Assists with minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks as required.
May be required to work during wet weather conditions.
Follow all PPE and safety related procedures.
May be required to participate in confined space activities.
