Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology, optometry, and/or healthcare is required.
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency with utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) is required.
- The ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in written format.
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills, with the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute (WPM).
Responsibilities
- Promoting quality patient care by assisting the physician with patient examinations including the documentation of patient medical records, patient education and in office procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of medical office experience is preferred.
- Completion of Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Medical Assistant (MA) is preferred.
