Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Understanding of territory with business connections in market
- Knowledge of product line and pricing
- Strong ability to negotiate and be persuasive
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while working on multiple opportunities in parallel
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed assigned annual budgets working in assigned territory
- Support strategic accounts as primary point of contact for daily activity
- Drive sales and merchandise programs, provide input on new products and services
- Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and recommending Graybar services and programs tailored to their business objectives
- Navigate inside the customer and gain market share of their purchases
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows and sales meetings
- Ensure up-to-date, accurate customer records including reports of business transactions
Preferred Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience preferred
- Preferred experience in the following markets: Traditional Telco (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 Telephone Companies), OSP Contractors (National, Regional and Local Contractors supporting Telcos), Backhaul/Middle Mile Carriers (Builders of national broadband pathways), Wireless (Carriers, 5G, Small Cell, Tower Owners, Contractors), Utility (IOUs, EMCs, Municipal Power, Smart City), CATV (National and Regional MSOs), CIG (Local/State Government, DOT, Education)
- Preferred experience in sales or business development with Carrier Customers or Neutral Host Enterprises
- Preferred experience or trade knowledge on Small Cell, CRAN, Macro tower builds or adds, Microwave, pLTE
- Ability to travel up to 60-70% of the time for face to face meetings
