Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must type 45-50 wpm
• Registration or Scheduling Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Scheduling patients for diagnostic tests and procedures as ordered by referring physicians
• Handling a large volume of incoming calls or faxes
• Ensuring needs of patients or physician offices are met
• Informing patients and/or physician staff of proper preparation and instructions for tests
• Identifying any precerts/authorizations/referrals needed
• Maintaining effective communication with patients, physician offices, and ancillary departments
• Pre-registration, creation of payment estimates, insurance verification, and benefit evaluation prior to appointment
• Retaining orders for all scheduled appointments prior to service

Preferred Qualifications
