Requirements
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Required
- Prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization Required
- After completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program Required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Franciscan will provide BCLS training and recertification as needed
Responsibilities
- Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training
- Documentation of patient care
- Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit
- Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone
- Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN
- Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests
- Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred High School Diploma/GED
- Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals Preferred
