Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Counsel uninsured and under-insured patients to obtain a paying funding source
- Educate patients on their responsibilities and potential options
- Accurately and compassionately explain financial obligations during counseling sessions
- Build trust and rapport with patients
- Navigate between multiple systems simultaneously
- Help patients work through their financial obligations for service
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a financial counselor
- Background in medical terminology
- Understanding of State and Federal assistance programs
