Requirements
- 5+ years experience working in payroll or similar role
- Significant experience working in multi-state payroll
- Working knowledge of tax codes and regulations
- Must have strong work ethic and customer service
- Detail-oriented, professional attitude and reliable
- Strong analytical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Basic understanding of journal entries
- Excellent computer skills, including SAP, ADP EV6, Workday (or similar ERPs) and Microsoft Excel
- Team player with interpersonal skills
- Confident written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with employees and team members in a professional manner
Responsibilities
- Consistently and accurately process payroll
- Analyze and review pay & employee related changes
- Pull and audit timesheets to ensure wages and benefits are accurate
- Setup garnishments and ensure accurate taxation and deductions
- Participate in month-end close and reconciliations
- Fulfill VOE requests as needed
- Understand and demonstrate privacy and confidentiality
- Pull payroll reports for review and audit purposes
- Communicate with HR teams to make necessary changes
- Research, analyze and resolve discrepancies and report them to management as needed
