Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, diagnosing and treating disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing
  • Consulting, educating and training patients, families, and caregivers
  • Collaborating with care teams and stakeholders to deliver quality, patient centered care
  • Providing skilled, quality clinical services utilizing standard of care, and evidence and outcomes-based practices
  • Complying with system and regulatory requirements and guidelines for documentation, billing, and working hours
  • Maintaining effective and appropriate communication and relationships with peers, patients, families, caregivers and both internal and external stakeholders
  • Participating in mentoring and supervision of students and new hires
  • Participating in patient care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, staff meetings, and necessary professional and work groups in collaboration/consensus with leader
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives as part of the Intermountain Operating Model
  • Promoting mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abiding by service standards
  • Meeting established productivity/efficiency standards for the department or service line
  • Participating in and promoting continuing education opportunities for self and staff, seeking new learning opportunities according to licensure requirements
