Requirements
- Prior Nursing Research Experience and IRB submittal
- PhD in Nursing Research or MSN with completion of a PhD within a year
- 2 yrs clinical nursing experience
- demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- NYS license
- Current AHA BLS
Responsibilities
- Engage nurses to participate in research studies and EBP projects
- Mentor nurses in the conduct of research through preparation of research studies and application of the research process
- Assist nurses in accessing and submitting research protocols to Institutional Review Board
- Facilitate the conduct of research among nurses at NYP to further their professional development, advance nursing science and scholarship, and improve patient outcomes/care
- Manage assigned campuses, including setting research/EBP goals and objectives according to the NYP strategic initiatives
- Plan, organize, direct, and monitor activities
- Coordinate and evaluate the effectiveness of research activities on assigned campuses
- Implement a campus strategic plan relevant to NYP initiatives
- Develop professional and support staff in establishing an environment where staff and patients can reach their full potential
